6-22-17 Remembering Christopher Wood ("Woody")

To all our beloved Khaos Junkies fans, It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I write you today as we mourn the loss of our bass player, Chris Wood.....a.k.a. "Woody", who passed away suddenly on Wednesday June 14th, 2017. All of us involved with the band are totally devastated. We will miss our friend Woody dearly. He was an incredibly gifted musician with a beautiful spirit that brought a peaceful calm to all of us whenever we practiced or played live. All of us in the band send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Woody's wife Patty, all of his family members and all of his loved ones and friends. Our band members are committed to one thing...........keeping the music of The Khaos Junkies going in Woody's honor. Although it will not be easy, we will all get through this. Somehow we just need to accept that Woody is now at peace and is no longer suffering. As the band heads to practice this evening to meet and discuss our future plans including the status of upcoming gigs, continuing to work on our next CD, which Woody and I had just completed recording all of the "rough cuts" together in his basement's home studio, who we want to have audition for potential new band members, etc., etc., we won't be able to help but feel Woody's presence with us as we plug in our amps and mics. We all know he would want us to carry on. That goes without saying. His dedication to our music was unparalleled. We will all miss him dearly. God knows he will miss performing on stage for all of you as well. Today all of us who knew Woody have an emptiness inside us and we are all at a loss for words. I'm so sorry to have to inform all of you of this sad news. Life is so, so short so please embrace it, treasure it & be grateful for it. Hope to talk to and see you all soon. Peace & love, David DiPilato...........a.k.a...........Dubble D
