KHAOS JUNKIES LIVE AT THE VALLEY PUB

The Khaos Junkies rocked the Valley Pub as they paid tribute to their long time friend and sound guy, Bob Bishop, who passed away suddenly in February of this year. The younger crowd rocked out to some of the Khaos Junkies' favorite classic rock covers like Born to Be Wild, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Good Times Bad Times, Needle and the Spoon and Can't You Hear Me Knocking just to name a few. The band tried a couple of "new" classics such as Blue Oyster Cults "Godzilla", which stunned the crowd as Chris Stackhouse waled on lead guitar!

Everyone had a great time even though it was difficult for the band to look over at the sound board and not see Bob there smiling. A special collection was taken after the first set in honor of Bob, who did a lot for the Grafton Food Bank. The band matched the crowd's generous collection of $100 that night. A BIG THANK you to all those who contributed!

Thanks to Stephanie for having us! We're back later this spring in mid-June.

Dudley Gendron Hall

The Khaos Junkies had a blast with the full house of Gendron patrons on Friday night! They both were in rare form as Uncle Roger and his gang made it out to rid themselves of the winter blues! Chris' lead guitar took care of that most of the evening as the band kicked ass on some old time favorite covers along with a few new ones. In honor of Uncle Roger the band played 4 Beatles songs, which they splattered between the first and second sets. Stevie was in heaven! Dubble D and Chris had fun doing their best rendition of George and John on the songs.

Chris blew the crowd away on the 2 Santana songs as the leads were flawless! Lots of kudos for the faithful Gendron patrons. Thanks to Dave for his harmonica work on Road House Blues and much thanks for having us back! Can't wait till Spring to return!

Uncle Ronnies Red Tavern

The Khaos Junkies arrived to a packed house on Saturday night at Uncle Ronnies. The band was very attuned to keeping the first set on the "quieter side" for the many dinner patrons who were there early and who stuck around to rock out later in the evening. So the first set included 6 acoustic songs performed by Steve and Dubble D on acoustic guitar and Woody on acoustic bass. Dubble D's sister Nancy sang lead vocals during the acoustic portion of the first set. Uncle Ronnie was pleased and when he's happy, everyone's happy!!!

The band then kicked it up a notch and finished the first set with some "not so loud" rock songs. The party got going in the second set as the band rocked out to some of their favorite cover tunes. The crowd was awesome!!! Special thanks to some of Steve's "former employees" who showed up and got the crowd on the dance floor! Hope to cya all at future shows!

Dubble D and Dave played off each other really well, trading guitar riffs all night long like on the Rod Stewart classic, Hot Legs and also on the Stones tune Little Queenie. It took the crowd a little while to get going on the dance floor but they hit their stride from the beginning of the second set and never stopped till closing time. A good time was had by all!

Jillian's Billiard

The Khaos Junkies pumped up all of their fans that showed up for the gig along with the crowd that gathered at Jillians for the UFC in Japan, which came on at 10 PM on their big screen TV's. The Khaos Junkies rocked the house from 6 to 9 PM before the event and put on a great show! Dubble D was in rare form this evening as he turned another year "older" on this day. He and the band kicked ass on several of the band's original tunes from their first CD including Reckless Behavior, Runnin' Stone Cold and Just In My Mind.

The band also did a great job on numerous cover tunes including one of Slammin' Steve's favorites "We Won't Get Fooled Again" by the Who. Slammin' Steve also belted out the vocals on "Shoot To Thrill" by ACDC, a first time cover done by the Khaos Junkies, which proved to be a crowd pleaser! Bassist Rick Swenson was awesome on vocals on "Man In The Box" by Alice & Chains. Dubble D & lead guitarist, Dave Cuneo traded licks all night on some classic rockers like "Little Queenie, Star Star and Gimme Shelter" by the Stones; "Hot Legs" by Rod Stewart and "Hard To Handle" by the Black Crowes. Dave left the crowd screaming for more as his lead guitar licks ripped it up on Neil Young's "Rockin In The Free World", which was the band's last tune of the evening.

Squire Whites Pub & Restaurant

The Khaos Junkies left nothing on the table as they absolutely rocked Squire Whites Restaurant for the last time. As many of you know our friends down at Squires will be relocating very soon to another Worcester location. Sad to say they will not be hosting bands at their new location. The Khaos Junkies gave them a night to remember as they hammered out 3 huge sets of rock 'n roll! This was truly the best gig thus far with new lead guitarist Dave Cuneo making a name for himself on some the Khaos Junkies originals like Runnin' Stone Cold and Foolish Pride as well as on a smattering of Stones, Petty and Stewart covers. Slammin' Steve was on fire on the drums and vocals tonight as was Rick on bass and Dubble D on rhythm guitar and vocals! Special thanks to Bob Bishop on sound!! Great job guys!!

Great to see a bunch of new faces in the crowd, especially the PVCC gang!! The best of luck to our friends at Squire Whites with their new restaurant.

Kas Bar

The boys of Khaos put on one hell of a show Saturday night at the Kasbar! They added some "new" classic cover tunes, which went over very well. Slammin' Steve belted out another great version of " We Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who. Rick Swenson also showed off his pipes on "What's Going On" by 4 Non Blondes and Dubble D kicked ass on the Cracker tune, "Low".

The band did three smokin' sets and played for over 3 hours! They sprinkled in a few original tunes, the best of which was "Runnin' Stone Cold" where Dave Cuneo added a new version of lead guitar to the song, which the crowd loved! The band finished up the evening with a killer rendition of Neil Young's "Rockin' in The Free World", which left everyone out on the dance floor screamin' for more!!

Kas Bar

The Khaos Junkies wrapped up their 2011 year of rock at one of their favorite venues---The Kas Bar on Friday December 9th, 2011. The show was a send off for lead guitarist Rockn' Rich Dacier, who played his ass off during the 1st & 3rd sets. Rich is leaving the band in January to pursue other projects, however something tells us that we will see him again from time to time on stage with the other Khaos Junkies! Rich is an awesome musician and individual and his contributions to the band are much appreciated and will surely be missed.

Dave Cuneo, Rich's "replacement" rocked the house during the second set. The packed Kas Bar responded by getting a herd of people out on the dance floor rock during most of the set. The band is looking forward to jamming with Dave on lead at future gigs.

During the band's 2 breaks Dubble D handed out some Christmas presents to a dozen patrons, which consisted of a T-shirt and a copy of the band's 1st CD "What's On The Way". The band rocked the house until 1 AM and only stopped playing cuz they had to!! Until next year!!

The Khaos Junkies were in rare form the other night at The Blue Plate. They got through some early sound system and "other issues not to be discussed in print" and once they did they delivered a heavy dose of rock to the lively crowd that showed up to dance off some of their Holiday Turkey! Dubble D, Slammin' Steve, Rockn' Rich and Reckless Rick all took turns on lead vocals throughout the evening as both Dubble D & Slammin' Steve were suffering from head colds. Awesome job guys! Much thanks to Dubble D's two sisters who filled in on back-up vocals on several originals and one Bruce tune! As always the band wants to thank all the Junkettes who showed up to shake their bootys!!

Bass player Rick Swenson did an incredible job on the 4 Non-Blondes tune "What's Going On"! Dubble D and Dave Cuneo traded guitar licks on the Stones' tune, "Star Star", which really rocked!......... and Rich Dacier was asincredible as usual on lead guitar all night.

Soon to be replacement lead guitarist, Dave Cuneo, rocked out a great second set loaded with Stones, Petty & Aerosmith for covers and he and Dubble D did an awesome job on his personal favorite Khaos Junkie original tune, "Reckless Behavior". JJ's Sports Bar and Grill

The Khaos Junkies picked up right where they left off the last time they were at JJ's Sports Bar & Grille...........playing great rock music!! They rocked the house with a bunch of "new" cover tunes and a quality selection of original material as they played 2 long sets from 9:15 to midnight. The band cranked it up early during the first set and had to "turn down" a little as they got carried away with their rendition of The Who's "We Won't Get Fooled Again", which totally rocked! Other cool cover tunes played that night included "Basket Case" by Green Day, "Pride & Joy" by Stevie Ray Vaughn, "Brilliant Disguise" by Springsteen and "Low" by Kracker.

Once again Dubble D's vocals and Rich Dacier's leads did not disappoint on the band's original tracks "Reckless Behavior", "For Awhile" and "Just In My Mind" as they were all well received by the rock thirsty patrons at JJ's.

Thanks to everyone who came out!

The band also met a lot of new faces, which they hope will become future khaos junkie fans and come out and rock with the band locally. JJ's Sports Bar and Grill

Talk about a rock show! The Khaos Junkies rocked JJ's during their first return to this venue since last August! Dubble D was in rare form as he led the band thru a smattering of their favorite cover tunes and originals. Thanks to JJ's club owner, Pete Sarro, who also scheduled a Celtics rally earlier that evening, the Khaos Junkies got to meet some basketball fans and the Celtics cheerleaders who also love to rock! Nice meeting you guys and glad you stuck around!

"The band was very tight this evening and sounded great" said one of the Khaos Junkie faithful followers to Ted Lanman, the band's sound guru. The band played two extra long sets and packed the dance floor on several covers including some of Slammin Steve's favorites, Aerosmith's "Somebody", Stones' "Gimme Shelter", Guns 'n Roses' "Sweet Child of Mine" (note: bass player Rick Swenson sang this tune and was incredible!) and Three Doors Down's "Kryptonite". Another highlight included Dubble D's vocals and Rich Dacier's lead guitar, which were both outstanding on the band's original "Just In My Mind".

The band paid tribute to former bass player Dave Kendrick, as they called him up on stage. Dubble D gave Dave a proper farewell as he told the the crowd how grateful he was to have jammed with Dave for so many years and thanked Dave for his contributions to the band and the band's first CD entitled, "What's On The Way", which they released last summer. Dave then performed a few kickass rockers with the band including The Spencer Davis Groups" "I'm A Man" and "Gimme Some Lovin" and Petty's "MaryJane's Last Dance". Dave's farewell tribute ended with the Byrds version of the Hendrix tune "Hey Joe", which totally rocked!

The place was jammed and the Khaos Junkies did not dissappoint as they helped the faithful patrons of The Gas Light get over their winter blues! Of course Jona....a.k.a......."Dirty Girl" also helped out the patrons beat those blues with her extra fine and well established pouring techniques behind the bar, which fueled them to get out on the dance floor and let loose to the great rock music of the Khaos Junkies!

Kas Bar

Before anything is said about this awesome gig, all the original band members want to let Rick Swenson, prior to this night known as "soon-to-be new" bassist for the band, know what a kick-ass job he did on bass at this show and to officially welcome him as a member of Dubble D & The Khaos Junkies. Just hours before the show Rick and the other members of the band received a phone call from bassist Dave Kendrick telling them that he had the flu and couldn't do the gig at the Kasbar. Rick, who was supposed to do the second set and half of the third, stepped up to the plate and hit one "outta the park" as he rocked to all three killer sets by the Khaos Junkies!

To say that the band "rocked the Kas Bar" is an understatement! The band nailed all of their original material, especially Foolish Pride and For Awhile, which the band just released as singles off of their first CD "What's On The Way". Dubble D got some help on backup vocals from his sister Nancy, who joined the band on stage for the band's original tracks For Awhile and Runnin' Stone Cold. He also did an incredible version of Radiohead’s Creep! Lead guitarist, Rich Dacier played some killer leads on the bands originals as well as Van Halen's "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" and Tom Petty's Runnin' Down a Dream. Drummer Slammin' Steve Shaughnessy did an awesome job on vocals as the band rocked on with Pink Floyd's "The Wall". Dubble D and Slammin' Steve did some great harmonies on all of the Stones' covers including "Respectable, Jumpin Jack Flash and Honky Tonk Women.

The crowd's loudest applause (and there were many to choose from this particular night as the band packed the KasBar) came when new bassist, Rick Swenson, sang an unforgettable version of Guns n Roses Sweet Child of Mine. Simply awesome job Rick!! Special thanks to Dubble D's girls for bringing a bunch of “beautiful peeps” to provide the cheers and lots of dancing all night long! Also thanks to all of the regular Junkies and Junkettes who came out to support the band, and there were a lot of you!!! Glad you had a blast!!

The band's hottest performance by far!! Dubble D & The Khaos Junkies rocked the Blue Plate on Friday 11-26-10 with a bunch of live versions of tracks from their debut CD entitled "What's On The Way". The band kicked out 2 long sets with the first starting around 8:30 PM and the last ending just around midnight. Foolish Pride, Reckless Behavior and For Awhile were by far the band's best live versions of their originals although the slow, dark, ballad, Rat Flies & Butterflies, which was the first time the band performed this track live, received an incredible applause from the rock-thirsty crowd! The band also slipped in several "new" cover tunes including Green Day's Basket Case and The Stones' Star Star and Sympathy For The Devil. Kudos to the new sound man - Ted, who really tuned in to the band's raw energy on both sets! Many thanks to all those who came to the show! You guys were awesome! CYA next time!

The band rocked the small Wednesday night crowd at Irish Times! There were supposed to be three bands there that night but one of them cancelled so Dubble D & The Khaos Junkies played 1 long set from 9:30 to 11. They ripped through several of their originals from their first CD entitled "What's On The Way" including their soon to be released single called "For Awhile", which the crowd loved! The band also kicked some ass on some of their favorite cover songs including Shine by Collective Soul, Runnin' Down a Dream by Tom Petty, Pride & Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughn and Keep on Rockin' in a Free World by Neil Young.

All the Khaos Junkies got the opportunity to belt out some lead vocals per usual. Special guest Rick Swensen joined the band on bass guitar as Dave Kendrick took control of the egg shakers on Jumpin' Jack Flash. Dubble D stretched his lead vocal range on Radiohead's "Creep", which is always a crowd pleaser and Slammin' Steve Shaugnessy did a great version of Roger Daultry's primal screem in the Who's "We Won't Get Fooled Again"! Rich Dacier played some killer slide guitar on the bands original "Runnin' Stone Cold" along with some awesome lead on Stevie Ray's Pride & Joy.

All in all the band was well received and those patrons who decided to come out to party on a Wednesday night had a blast! Special thanks to Tom Bayrouty, sound man at the Irish Times, who did a great job on the sound! The band loved the venue and is looking forward to playing there some Friday or Saturday night in the very near future.

Nonetheless, Dubble D & The Khaos Junkies did not disappoint those loyal fans who showed up for the gig. First & foremost, raise a glass to Ed DeLuca, who does a great job with LIVE MUSIC NITE at the PACC every 3rd Saturday of the month! He had 4 different acts there on Saturday and Dubble D & The Khaos Junkies were the featured act. They did not disappoint! Thanks for having them Ed! The band rocked through a couple of covers, Bound To The Floor and Shine to get the set started before kicking ass on Reckless Behavior and Running Stone Cold, originals from the Band's first CD. Drummer Steve Shaugnessey belted out a cool version of Jumpin' Jack Flash, which was followed by some awesome vocals by Dubble D on Radiohead's Creep. The band then rocked on thru Petty's American Girl before finishing up the short, 1 hour set with 3 more originals, For Awhile, Your Eyes Are Too Pretty For Tears (where Dubble D introduced the band as he shook the egg shakers and each band member did their respective funky solos) and Foolish Pride, which all received a loud applause from the crowd.

Only complaint that night was from the band..............they wished they could have played 2 hours longer! Nice job Khaos Junkies!!

The band's CD Release Party at JJ's Sports Bar & Grill in Northboro, MA was a huge success! The place was packed and the band rocked out for over 2 and 1/2 hours! David DiPilato……..a.k.a…….Dubble D led the Khaos Junkies through two long sets of rock including some kick-ass covers from such bands as the Stones, Local H and Nervana along with a solid representation of originals from the band's first CD entitled "What's On the Way". The band opened the first set with a cover called "Bound To The Floor" from '90's grunge band Local H, which immediately got the crowd's attention. The band's rendition of Gimme Shelter by the Stones was a smash as well with all of the dancers in the crowd.

Drummer Steve Shaughnessy, who is an incredible vocalist himself, belted out several cover tunes as well from the Stones, The Who, Tom Petty and Aerosmith. The band's best cover by far of the night was when Steve sang Tom Petty's "American Girl", which sounded amazing both vocally and musically! More crowd pleasers came from the band's original material sung by lead singer & rhythm guitarist, Dubble D, which included "What You Take from Me", the driving beat of "Foolish Pride", the cool funked-up bluesy sound of "Your Eyes Are Too Pretty For Tears" and the melodically deep, meaningful sound of "For Awhile", which received a huge round of applause from the audience at the conclusion of the first set.

Dubble D opened up the second set on stage solo with his acoustic guitar where he ripped through Rod Stewart's version of "Man of Constant Sorrow", The Foofighter's "But Honestly" and the Stones' "Next Goodbye". The band then joined him for an awesome job on their title track "What's On The Way" where the musical ability of lead guitarist Rich Dacier came shining through with the sweet, melodic tones of his riffs played in that song. Rich displayed more versatility as a guitarist as he played some killer slide guitar riffs in the band's original "Runnin' Stone Cold', which proved to be another dancer's delight as the crowd jammed the dance floor. Rich showed even more flash as the band followed his lead guitar & vocal through their cover of the Jimi Hendrix tune "All Along The Watchtower".

Dave Kendrick, the band's bass player, then sang some kick-ass lead vocal on a punked up version of the Hendrix tune "Hey Joe", which had Khaos Junkie fans on their feet. Dubble D closed out the night with three of the band's originals "Reckless Behavior", where Dubble got in his classic Keith Richards licks, "Just In My Mind", where the band's CD producer, Dan Brady, got up on stage and did some elaborate lead guitar solos, and "She", where the band intensified their collective energy and was able to walk off stage at the end of the show leaving the crowd screaming for more!

Great show guys!!!!
